Michael Lawler is a manager with Yetter Consulting Services, Inc. He specializes in sales tax system analysis and implementation. Using system and business analysis skills, Michael designs and configures Vertex and Sabrix for use with various ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Seibel, JD Edwards and Baan. Working with programmers, he develops custom interfaces between accounting and sales tax systems. When applicable, he creates customized applications to assist with the technical tax process. Michael tests and troubleshoots various facets of the tax calculation process. He reviews taxation accuracy and constructs viable workflows for electronic return preparation. Michael also provides project specific training and documentation, which enables companies of various sizes to efficiently maintain their systems.

Prior to joining Yetter Consulting Services, Michael was a technical trainer at Vertex, Inc. for three years. He was responsible for development of the technical course material and presentation of customer classes. Michael taught classes in all the Vertex sales tax products including Sales Tax Q Series, Sales Tax L Series and Sales Tax Returns Q Series. He has an intimate knowledge of Vertex’s sales and use tax products and developed the Vertex/SAP training course. In addition, he also provided technical support for Vertex’s training centers.

Michael also was the operations manager for Scantech, a document imaging company. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Scranton in 1993. Michael is a Certified Training Specialist and Certified TDM specialist for Vertex, Inc. and a Sabrix Certified Implementation Specialist and Certified Trainer. He is also a member of the Association for Computers and Taxation (ACT).
